Background Remover

Removing a background to create a transparent PNG is a standard requirement for logos, product photos, icons, and profile images. Tools like Photoshop can do it, but they require a license, installation, and time to learn. AI-based cloud tools upload your file to a third-party server — a problem when the image is a product photo, a client asset, or anything confidential.

VIPToolkit's Background Remover works by color-key detection: click any pixel in your image to select the target color, adjust the tolerance slider to control how broadly similar colors are included, and use edge feathering to smooth the result. The output saves as a transparent PNG. Everything runs locally in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API — your image is never uploaded anywhere.

It works best on images with solid or near-solid backgrounds: white product photos, logo files, headshots against plain backdrops, icons, and watermarks. For complex scenes with mixed backgrounds, the tolerance and feathering controls let you fine-tune the result before downloading.
